Hue - First Stop of the World Heritage Road Tour

Imperial City of Vietnam - Hue
Hue - also known as the imperial capital of Vietnam, is our first stop of our World Heritage Road Tour. Designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1993, Hue was the heartbeat of Vietnam between 1600s and 1800s. Today, it was an attraction of the splendid tombs of Nguyen emperors, beautiful pagodas and the remains of the magnificient Citadel.

It was a pity that we had only 1 day in Hue as we had limited time in Central Vietnam. Still, we had a great time and the breath-taking scenes of the Perfume River still linger in our minds...

In the US we call the small green citrus fruit a "lime". For us a "lemon" is slightly larger and yellow, and has a somewhat different flavor. I love soda chanh, especially when all components are delivered separately.
