I would strongly recommend this hotel to first-time visitors to Saigon. The hotel is the city's most historic buildings and it was the setting for much of the action that occurred in Graham Greene's novel - The Quiet American. This hotel is strategically located at the prime spot of District 1, namely, Dong Khoi Street, where much of the night activities are.

Unique Qualities: Staying in this hotel makes me feel like reliving the days of "Miss Saigon". The building is full of old world charm and the bedroom is very spacious. I like the courtyard where I had my morning breakfast. My room happened to be located at the end of the corridor and I need to passed through many winding corridors. The neon lights made the place feel like in the late 60s. Visit magdala.myphotoalbum.com to experience this old age charm! This is the only hotel which distributed breakfast vouchers every night through a basket attached to your door. It's definitely unique!

This hotel comes highly recommended by some travellers on the asiarooms.com. The Spring Hotel is a 8-storey building that is conveniently located at the heart of District 1. Shops, restaurants and supermarkets are easily accessible from the hotel. In addition, the hotel is just 10 to 15 minute walk to the well-known Ben Thanh Market!

Reservation can be made via email. Speedy response from the hotel!

Unique Qualities: The rooms are clean though I would say they are relatively small. We were fortunate to be located on the 7th storey where the room commanded a good view of the city. However, the rooms were small and the water pressure in the bathroom was weak. There was limited choices for breakfast. Still, the service provided was great!

For a night in HCMC, this would be a good choice to consider!
