A Trip Filled With Pleasant Surprises!!! | Bangkok - The City of Angels |
For the year for 2006, I visited Bangkok three times - Feb, June and Aug! I always discovered something new for every trip. Bangkok is indeed exciting - I simply love the place! I am always there for mouth-watering local food, heavenly spa treatments and non-stop happy shopping!
So, do feel free to visit my Bangkok page for tips and do give me your comments! |

| | My First Trip to Bangkok My first trip to Bangkok was in February 2006. It was a trip that filled with many surprises as I met a number of friends unexpectedly in Bangkok. Most of all, I also met up with my sailing coach, Tonny Tan, or Uncle Tonny, whom we fondly called in Bangkok. Thank God for his friends, otherwise I would be really lost in Chatuchak Weekend Market! |
| Having a great time out with fellow sailors! |
| | Many more trips to come! Little did I know that I would be back to Bangkok in June 2006 (barely four months after I've visited Bangkok). This time, I was actually heading for Sattahip, for the annual Sing-Siam Sailing Regatta. As I need to be back to office, I still managed to squeeze in a 2D1N stay in Bangkok. I really enjoyed myself this time as I am more familiar with Bangkok and had a blast of time exploring the spas, shopping and trying out new eateries. It's a pity that I only had such short time, still, I had a bash of time this round!
Latest Update: I was back to Bangkok again in Aug 2006. I had a great time there - making more discoveries in Bangkok. Not only that, I met up with fellow VTers in Bangkok. |

rewai Mon Oct 5, 2009 03:56 UTC Stumbled across this gem on first trip to Bangkok. Food fantastic. Staff friendly and helpful. If around Siam Square, it's a place I'll gravitate to for lunch or dinner. Arm could be twisted to do both. Great food, great value. | ollyf Sat Feb 7, 2009 09:47 UTC Re Suan Lum Night Bazaar. It's not pronounced see-lom, it's soon-lum. Silom (see-lom) is nearby, but a completely different place. | Wild_Orchid Tue Dec 23, 2008 07:52 UTC you have some fine tips on your BKK page. :-) | yellowcab Mon Dec 24, 2007 17:02 UTC I know you are an intelligent tourist. thnaks to VT and Lonely Planet!
