Beach Lovers' Paradise | Patong Beach - Beach Paradise |
Phuket! Believe it or not, I have heard so much about this Asian beach paradise since my college days but I have not marked it on my travelling map. By sheer chance, I found myself heading Phuket for a well-deserved break in December 2006 - just because the diving season in the waters off Aur (Malaysia) is over and I need to head for a new dive site!
Well, upon reaching Phuket, I was whisked off to stay onboard the luxurious "Black Manta" diving boat for 3 days and 3 nights, afterwhich I decided to "park" myself in the well-known Patong Beach for another 3 days and 2 nights to explore this much talkabout country. And I wasn't disappointed - Phuket lives up to its name: a beach lovers' paradise! |

|  | Similans - My First Overseas Diving Trip I signed up for a 10-dive trip to Similans onboard the "Black Manta" - poised to be a 5-star liveaboard. I did not regret my choice and had a great stay onboard the boat. The services rendered by the crew were excellent and 5-star treatment were given to all the guests onboard. Our tanks were promptly re-filled after every dive. The crew were on hand to assist us in wearing our dive suit and most importantly, the precautions were followed to ensure that our dives are not only enjoyable but safe! Thumbs up for "Black Manta"! |
| | A Scenic Town Contrary to what I read from the various travel brochures, there is another side of Phuket that not many people are aware of. During my stay, I discovered that Phuket has its peaceful and tranquil side to offer. There are many breath-taking scenes this beautiful country can offer. So, don't forget to take your camera with you! |
