I just moved back from DC. I lived there for 3 years and a half. I've been to DC several times before I moved there. I could say that is a city that you learn to love. For me, it was not a love at first sight but it grew up in me, to stay in my heart for ever.
You can meet people from all over the world, but yet, everybody stays in their own circle of trust. People do not blend like in NY. I guess it's because so many people come to DC knowing that they will be leaving sooner or later, so many politicians and diplomats living under the same roof... |
