Attractive City Blending The Old With The Modern | Hop on Hop Off Bus - Centre Of Montreal |
Our coach trip left Quebec early morning for the drive to Montreal arriving around lunch time. We did not know anything about Montreal except that it was the venue for the 1976 Olympic Games.
On the way into the city was stopped at the Olympic Games stadium which still looks in great condition and then into the city for our 1 night stay. It was a city full of surprises, the old and the new city, the Joseph's Church on the hill giving a great view of the city.
Living in a vey hot climate we were amazed at how low the winter temperature gets, a good thing that we chose to visit in summer. All in all we found Montreal to be a fine place to visit, in fact I believe the tour should have been a 2 night stay. |

It is an amazing city and I too was impressed by its underground realms. Great tip on the Old Cathedral too! The '76 Olympics in the stadium still bring back great memories for me. | Jefie Mon Jul 14, 2008 14:33 UTC Looks like you had a nice day in Montreal - I'll try to look up that cafe next time I'm in the city :o) |
