We arrived mid morning on an overcast day and soon were down to the waterfront to have our first glimpse of the falls. Everywhere was wet from the spay as the water streamed over the falls, there was a distinct roar from the water . There was no escape from these mighty waters.
There are 2 falls, the higher being the American falls which are 10 feet higher but not as wide as the Canadian Falls which are in a horshoe shape. Most tourists tend to concentrate on the larger Canadian Falls which I think are more spectacular.
A highlight of our visit was the Maid of the Mist cruise which takes you very close to the Niagara Falls with the water from the falls landing very close to the boat. Expect to get a little damp, it is part of the enjoyment.

The maid of the mist is fantastic. Nothing like feels the power of the falls so close to you. Ahhh, at night is beautiful. I like how they use all the lovely colors. Neat page!
