Water Taxi NYC Water Taxi Review

As you move around the Manhattan shoreline you will see water taxis here and there. The ones we saw were bright yellow like the road taxis, but on water there is rarely a traffic jam. We took a Circle Line Ferry Cruise and had no need for a water taxi, but it would be a nice way to travel.

Metro Trains - Very Safe Subway Review

We found the metro trains to be very safe and never felt threatened at any time. We travelled at night without any problems, however we never travelled after 10:30 pm. The trains are fast and fares are very cheap, it is the ideal way to get to a destination quickly.

During rush hour expect trains to be extremely crowded.

We were informed that undercover police are on the trains, they look like you or the tourist further along the carriage. Be aware!!!

Metro Card - Daily Subway Review

For $8 you can purchase a metro card for the day. This entitles you to use the train system as often as you like during that day. We purchased cards on 3 of our 7 days, on one day we did not travel enough to recoup the full $8, however the convenience and flexability the card gave us made up for any loss. We walked straight onto the station, no fumbling round for coins to purchase tickets from the machines.
