Old Town Walk

We arrived in Vilnius mid afternoon after a long day travelling from Vitebsk in Belarus. It was very nice to arrive in the beautiful city with all its magnificent old town buildings. We knew we were going to enjoy our weekend in Lithuania.

An easy city to move around with the Neris River flowing close to Gediminas Castle and the St Peter and Paul's Church. From our hotel we were able to cross the White Bridge and easily walk to the Old Town.

Our October weekend visit occured during one of the City's major festivals giving us the opportunity to enjoy the the local displays, dancing, food and performers throughout the city.

The look of Trakai Castle is amazing..as does the interior photos of Peter and Paul..The Old Town looks like its the "place to be"..Id enjoy some time here for sure!
