Restaurant Name: Fatal Restaurant
This restaurant is situated in a small street off the Vaci Utca a well known tourist area and has to be good to survive. We arrived at 8:00pm and as we wanted a non smoking area we had to wait 5 minutes to a table was available. Ushered through a couple of passages we came into a large room with approximately 50 people sitting mostly in larger tables. We were given a table inches from another couple, however they did not mind and we soon joined in the fun as the room was noisy. We had heard the servings were large and were amazed at the meals delivered to the adjoining tables, when ours arrived they were even bigger as we had ordered large meals. The meals were excellent , however I think we might have appreciated them better if the serving was smaller. We indulged in sweets and had a most enjoyable evening.
Favorite Dish: The attached photos display the meals, there is no need for an entree at this restaurant.

Restaurant Name: Taverna Dionysos
This restaurant is located on the Pest side, the alfresco area looks directly accross the rakpart onto the Danube, a perfect place for evening river and city views. The evening we visited this restaurant we had not booked and could not have an alfresco table, however we sat inside at a table which gave us views through the archway entrance. We had a quick meal as we were off to an Organ Concert later that evening. The food was magnificent, the service very good and we saw many people turned away as they had not booked. We did not have time for sweets, but they looked tempting. I recommend you book should you require an Al Fresco table.
Favorite Dish: All our meals were delicious , good presentation and large serves. We had Mausaka,Greek Hamburger, Greek salad soft drinks and water. Cost F5600.

BillNJ Mon Jun 23, 2008 01:36 UTC Excellent page! If I ever have the opportunity to visit Budapest, I will check out the Szechenyi Medicinal Bath. Also, the Gellert Hotel looks magnificent. Cheers from New Jersey, Bill | Museeuw Thu Aug 2, 2007 08:34 UTC Hi, thanks for the comment. We'll definitely take the tour in the opera.
