Our visit to this fine city was short , arriving late afternoon and a midday departure the next day to commence our return journey to Australia after a 9 week trip of a lifetime through Europe.To finish our holiday we stayed at the luxurious Sheraton Zagreb Hotel and enjoyed being pampered overnight. We had enough time to take a 2 hour guided walk through sections of the city, saw the Church of Saint Mark, Parliament, vegetable market,, city view from high point,, main street in city etc etc. Zagreb is the capital city of Croatia and has a population of 800,000 people.

Zagreb has a modern city centre with shops similar to major cities in Europe. I did not see any Skyscraper buildings, most were 4 or 5 stories.
