This is the city my wife wanted to visit and she was not disappointed, beautiful buildings,architecture,food and music. We had a week to enjoy this fabulous tourist destination, to enjoy the museums, where often the building outshone the great works on display. The ultimate was the Mozart Concert we attended on our last night in Vienna. The music was a delight and will linger long in our memory.
We visited the Schonbrunn Palace of Keiser Franz Joseph and his Empress "Sissi", and the next day visited the Sissi Apartments located in Albertina building. Her rooms were magnificantly furnished and we were shown the luxurious lifestyle of the court.
We also took the opportunity to take a day trip to Bratislava, the capital of Slovarkia. It is only an hour's train ride , however you must take your passport.
Not to be missed is an evening visit to Grinzinger, the local wine growing area, for a Heurigen Show including dinner, music and entertainment. A visit to Vienna is not complete without enjoying the faboulous food and magnificent cakes of Sacher and Demel.

We took a day trip to Salzburg and on the way passed Salzkammergut and the Alps, we stopped at several villages by the lake, the unforgetable Hallstatt and through the area where the film The Sound Of Music was made.

We reached Salzburg and had an enjoyable tour around the town, Mirabell Castle,Mozart's Birthplace, Getreidegasse Horse Trough, the Old Market and a walk through the main shopping street.
