We were on a day trip from the Sunshine Coast and stopped at the pretty village of Montville for lunch and a walk through the village admiring the interesting wares for sale in the many craft and art shops. The village is situated in the hinterland at an altitude of 1640 feet which gives good views over the lowlands all the way to the Sunshine Coast approximately 30 minutes drive away.
There are many restaurants to choose from and much of the produce is produced locally. We had a nice alfresco lunch with a magnificent view over rainforest. After lunch we walked the main street and my wife made several small purchases from the craft shops.

The Waterwheel is in the main street and is a memory of how things were many years ago. Everyone who passes seems compelled to take a photo.

The Bowerbird of Montville is a nice name for an antique shop. I like the look of this town.

You're talking about one of my favourite little getaways here, Mike. Great page.

It seems to be a good place for a short stop. The waterwheel looks impressive.
