Accommodation in the Lecrin Valley area
To stay & explore Lecrin is becoming easier, but more expensive, as more foreigners settle in the area & open a guest house, B&B or let houses. This inevitably, is rapidly changing the nature of these small communities & their way of life.
However, for the budget traveler it’s easy to avoid them by using just a little Spanish & using Hostals, Hospederias, local people & bars which don’t display foreign languages.
Ask locals for lodging tips & you can find large houses @ 300 € per month & hostals @ 24 € per night for 2 people.
Small beer (una caña - "Kanya" or un quinto - "Kinto") 1 to 1·50 € includes free food in most places. Local transport is good & cheap. Local folk are very outgoing, welcoming & trusting PLEASE don’t abuse this. Take care not to get classed a “Pasota” (dropout / new age traveler) who are universally despised in the area.
