"Hanoi" Hanoi by ozpaul

At first I couldn't quite get the feel for Hanoi - but after a while I fell in love with the charm of the city. The food here was some of the best in Vietnam. Loved exploring the Temple of Literature, Opera House, Old Quarter, Lake Hoan Kiem and the city. The Ho Chi Minh mausoleum was quite strange - they usher you through at a very respectful pace - best off to keep your hands at your sides and maintain a respectful air.

Temple of Literature

A peaceful escape. A wonderful place to wander around - there was even a traditional Vietnamese Music performance in one of the forecourts when we visited the Temple of Literature.

Bridge at Lake Hoan Kiem

Amidst all the noise of Hanoi is Hoan Kiem Lake. There are so many things to see and experience here - sit and have a coffee in one of the small cafes around the lake.
