Ho Chi Minh City This has to be one of the easiest cities to experience. Taxis are cheap and plentiful and it is very easy to walk around once you get used to the traffic. We stayed in District 1on Dong Khoi Street - excellent restaurants nearby and fairly central to the main attractions of the city. The people here are very friendly and felt totally safe the entire time we were here. |
Dong Khoi Street Over Christmas we were fortunate to come across an orchestra and a ballet performing in the main street. The atmosphere here here was truly spectacular. |
Continental Hotel The Continental Hotel in Dong Khoi Street. We didn't stay here but there is a central courtyard located in the building - a perfect place for an ale or two during the day. The courtyard is surrounded by hundred year old trees - a cool and relaxing place to take a break. |
