Butzbach, Germany, is a very nice, small town. There is a large American influence there, as it is somewhat of a "bedroom community" for the nearby U.S. military bases.
Pros and Cons
- Pros:Located on the Autobon, Forested hills (for picking mushrooms), sections of the Roman Wall run through the area and are still intact (although in a natural state of decay) including gaurd towers.
- Cons:Many encounters with U.S. military personel seem to have soured many of the locals, this can be overcome by learning some of the language and customs.
- In a nutshell:Good food, good scenery, much historical value.
