Sandflies
The Bay Islands could be paradise - if there were no sandflies.
I used insect repellent and got bitten anyway (and scratched my legs open and open again the next weeks).
Someone told me to use lots of simple baby-oil. The sandflies just glide off and cannot bite You.
I tried it, and it worked!
(I do not travel anywhere without now. You can also drop it into You ears to smoothe the eardrums before diving.)
