Greymouth doesn't actually have anything spectacular to visit. But it is an important point in grey distric tourism. The famous tranz alpine train run from Christchurch to greymouth. This is the best scenic train route in NZ. Many people breaks their journey and stop to stay the night in greymouth because they have good range of accomodation and sort of sit in the middle between christchurch, westport and franz josef.

We were breaking our journey in greymouth. Started the drive from christchurch along the arthur pass and stop at Greymouth
