They're VERY, VERY, VERY glad you came!

Most of the people I came across in Lima businesses were very, very friendly. They are very, very glad to see you. I think these friendly people try to make the most of it in Lima. It's not a town for tourists (their symbol is a Lima bean). But they have an orchestra, a comic book store and I noticed a nice looking cafe downtown where the young people looked the same as in any big city.

Some other people here are SCARY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! }8<E .They look at you like YOU ARE FOOD. They stare at you like you are an alien if you speak to them.

After some observation I have determined that THEY have been infected by ALIENS and they are very, Very, VERY glad to see you! PLEASE USE CAUTION IF YOU TRAVEL TO LIMA!! If you upset the "people" there they may steal your soul and use your body to make KEWPEE burgers which is how they maintain their immortality.

The Essence of Lima

Lima is kind of like a big industrial park in a cornfield with a town in the middle. You can work, eat at a lot of different restaurants and shop at Toys R Us.

In some spots in Lima, you get the feeling that time has stood still. The downtown Kewpee burger probably hasn't bought a new napkin dispenser since 1954, and there's a lady that has worked there since 1966 (she's an immortal). A lot of businesses still have their mid-century signs. There's even a newer chain of restaurants that uses a 50's theme and most of the houses look like they were built prior to 1960.

Unfortunately, there are two Walmarts and two Kmarts in this small town along with a Meijers.

These hamburgers are really good and worth a stop in Lima. Kewpee is one of the oldest hamburger joints in the US. Dave Thomas bought two Kewpees in Michigan, but never owned the Kewpee name. Dave changed the name of his locations to Halo Burger (Flint, MI) and later started the Wendy's franchise. There's only a few Kewpees in the country now. Kewpees are much, much better than Wendy's.

But before you have a burger or milkshake here you must get over the giant Kewpee dolls in the restaurant. They can be disturbing, especially when you realize that aliens are making the Kewpee burgers. SOMETHING VERY SINISTER IS AT WORK HERE. Just what is it that makes the Kewpee Burger taste so good?

I'm not a big fan of hamburgers and donuts, but that caboose sounds nice. What brought you to Lima, anyway?
