"More than nature's wonder" Natural Bridge by matcrazy1
Natural Bridge Travel Guide: 31 reviews and 165 photos
This nature's wonder of western Virginia is marketed as one of the seven natural wonders of the world, but this refers to a mention on an old list of seven natural wonders of the modern world. Anyway it's worth a visit and there are many more attractions in Natural Bridge especially for children. Welcome to my tips.
The Natural Bridge was a sacred site of the Native American Monacan Indians. During the 18th and 19th century guests from all over the world came to see it and took day trips on horseback or horse drawn carriages to explore the countryside. Well, they didn't know nature's wonders of the West (say Utah), or maybe couldn't get there so easily.
- Pros:Nature, mysterious legends, history, Indian culture to explore
- Cons:Nothing compare to nature's wonders of the West
- In a nutshell:A miracle in stone higher than Niagara Falls

This looks to be a real green area and foliage wonderful. Your pictures & comments are great. It contrasts my last trip to Natural Bridges & MOab area of Utah where it was desert and dry, but wonderful rock. colors. I invite you to take A look.
Wow! Great tips. Thank you for the history lesson! Always wanted to visit here, now it seems a must. Hope your birthday was exciting and fun-filled.
I'm with Diana!
Stunning pictures of this natural wonder, Matt. Never heard about the Natural Bridge before, but now is on my wish list.
This seems to be a very pretty area. I had not heard of this natural wonder. Good advice, slippery when wet.
Very enjoyable page on Natural Bridge Matt. Looks like a wonderful area to visit especially the Monacan Indian Village. Also great pics of the Virginia countryside. Loved the nature T'logs.
The Natural Bridge looks impressive and walking along the Cedar Creek Nature Trail sounds pleasent!
I'm proud of you for taking the steps instead of the shuttle. That's a sign of an adventureous traveler. This pages brought back many good memories of my visit to Natural Bridge some years ago.
A place for me perhaps - full of natures blessings & Autumn colours - interesting reading = thanks Matt
