My first Chicago image
My dreams come true. I wanted to visit Chicago for many, many years. Well, it's the largest Polish city after Warsaw :-) and I was told many times that it's a must see.
Today I have just arrived to Chicago. Surprisingly I didn't have to wait hours at O'Hare Airport, in maybe 40 min. I was in a cab to downtown (in total $55 with a lot of luggage). My first little notices:
- city skyline looks amazing especially for someone coming from short buildings towns and cities,
- if you smoke better choose another destination (I can smoke in my hotel room for additional $200 fee for cleaning my room = I don't do that; in all pubs and restaurants you can't smoke both inside and outdoors + at a distance of 15 feet (about 5 m)
- Chicago is definetely a multiculctural city - there are people of all colours and races waqlking on streets + there are also restaurants of all cousines :-),
- Chicago is HOT in summer, I can understand here why air-con is the most important for human beings :-)
Enough for now ---> I have to sleep after 21 hours trip.
