Spreckels Organ Pavilion
Spreckels Organ Pavilion, housing one of the world's largest outdoor pipe organs, was donated to the City of San Diego by John D. and Adolph Spreckels in 1914 for the Panama-California Exposition.
This unique outdoor organ, which contains over 4,500 pipes, was built by the Austin Organ Company of Hartford, Connecticut. The organ is housed in an ornate vaulted structure with highly embellished gables (llok at my picture).

HOUSE OF POLAND
This group of small cottages, each home to a different nation, holds open house to the public Sunday afternoons from noon to 4:00 p.m.
Hmm... opening hours were real tourist trap for me. I was there on Sunday but at 4.30 p.m. - what a pity. All was closed except the French house - there was a banquet inside, one guy invited us to enter but we... didn't go inside.

Gate to historic heart of San Diego
Visit Gaslamp District in a downtown: great place if you love nightlife, music, food, watching people and so on - just the best place to be especially on Friday evening.
The Heart of the Gaslamp is Fifth Avenue and on either side Fourth Avenue and Sixth Avenue, however, 5th and 4th are the most popular and active of the three streets.
Directions: San Diego Downtown - access by trolley (both = Blue and Orange lines).
Elictric lamp in Gaslamp Quarter :-)
Although the name Gaslamp district or Quarter derives from gas lamps, nowadays you can find only electric lights there. But didn't they look nice?
HORTON PLAZA AT NIGHT
What is a plaza? It's an open area or square in a town/city (esp. in Spanish-speaking countries = in San Diego as well hehe) or a group of buildings including stores (= shops) designed as a single development within a town/city.
Horton Plaza is a large, multi-story shopping center/mall just in the downtown of San Diego, next to Gaslamp Quarter (they don't have a city center/centre in the USA, they have a downtown).
You can do shopping (or window shopping :-) at daytime there or just look and admire interesting architecture at nighttime.
Address: 324 Horton Plaza
Directions: Located in the heart of downtown San Diego.

HORTON PLAZA AND JESSOP CLOCK
Except of doing shopping you can look at nice fountains and architecture (hmm... is it postmodernism + a little art deco or what?) or just eat/drink something outside on the last floor, nice (and not the cheapest :-) place for watching people!
Pay attention to this clock on my picture - it's Jessop Clock made for State Fairs in 1907.
Address: 324 Horton Plaza
Directions: Located in the heart of downtown San Diego

BEISA ORYX
Tough, alert and wary, these antelope survive without water in some of the driest regions of Africa.
Oryx have been known to kill lions. Their horn tips are so sharp they have been used as spear tips by human hunters.
