It seems that they like them a lot. There are more palm trees in Coronado than in San Diego - in private yards, around public buildings and just along streets. Usually they look like these ones on my picture. I wonder if they must water them in summertime? From Linda:Palm trees don’t need to be watered. Natural moisture in the air and rainfall is enough for them to grow. Thank you Linda!

I noticed the other (not USA) flag on the other top of the Hotel Del Coronado. Hmm... it looks like simple white and red flag. Is it Polish national flag? Hehe, I don't think so.
Does City of Coronado have its own flag? What does it look like?

It seems that they don't like them... they LOVE them hehe. There are a lot of various flowers in Coronado and they all bloom in April - do they bloom all year round?

Older, elegant ladies used to wear fashionable (hmm... what does it mean fashionable?) hats at least in sunny days (= almost everyday in Coronado). Am I wrong?

Beach: Rocky beach?

NO, NO, NO - these rocks on my picture just divide Coronado Beach into two parts: eastern and western.
As I said before I have never seen rocky beaches with people sitting/lying on the rocks (hehe) in the USA, is it exclusively European custom? Are these rocks put for European tourists? Hehe.

It seems that many visitors take their dog (or dogs) to Coronado. Nice friends, especially that it's not so difficult to find a place to walk a dog there - hmm... what about restrooms for their dogs?
Btw they don't have toilets or WC in the USA, they have restrooms = a place to rest? hehe.

Aren't dogs friendly there? Look at Ursula's new friend on the picture.
Do they travel with their dogs? I know now why do they love pick-up cars :-).

This large house with an American flag on a high flag-staff I found driving from Imperial beach to Coronado Island. Nothing interesting? Hmm... look at the next tip.

vixancs Thu Dec 20, 2007 21:26 UTC In Bulgaria we call it a riksha ,pl-rikshi :) | kyoub Fri Feb 16, 2007 13:01 UTC A great page on another lovely California beach town. The bird on your page is a Solitary Sandpiper, I believe. | Pawtuxet Sat Oct 21, 2006 12:31 UTC Returning to your Coronado to enjoy another sunny day at the beach. It's a lovely area. | JLBG Fri Sep 22, 2006 05:39 UTC Sure the bird is neither an albatross nor a sea gull (long beak, tall legs, coat don't fit). Might be either an American Bittern or better a Ruff but I have no book on American birds to be sure. You have extensively visited South Ca, I was more on North! |
