YOU ARE VERY WELCOME! WOW!
One of the best things on VT is possibility of meeting real and cool people from all over the world who share the same passion for travel and discovering the world.
No matter whether you are quite new to VT or an old VT-animal you are very welcome to join the 6th official Virtual Tourist European Meeting which will take place in Krakow, Poland on 28-29-30 May 2010. If you have never joined any VT-meet, no worries. I can guarantee that after first 5 minutes you will feel as if you are with family and at a friendly home. I can only smile now how nervous I was before joining my first ever larger VT-meet in Oceanside, California in 2003. But I did it and I am happy now :-))).
More details: EuromeetKrakow2010 page.
Sign up to attend the meeting here, please.
If you can't come you are very welcome to become Virtual Attendee and sign up for Euromeet 2010 - Virtual Attendees Meeting (VAM)
If you live in Krakow or as soon as you book your flights/transportation to Krakow and your accommodations please check VT-meeting schedule, choose activities for you (four VT-dinners/evenings; tours etc.) and sign up to attend all or some of them. You may choose what you want point by point, however my recommendation is NOT to skip two official VT-dinners: on Friday, 28th May and on Saturday, 29th May. Look at list of Euromeet activities to choose and sign up. Do enjoy!
Read and join please:
- general discussion on Krakow's Euromeet
- discussion on How to get to the meeting
- discussion on Where to stay in Krakow for Euromeet 2010?

A few questions:

2. What Krakow's pigeons love to do?
3. How mamy people celebrate New Year's Eve in the Krakow's Main Market Square?
4. How many Nobel Prize winners live in Krakow?
5. What is "All Fools’ Day"?
6. How to find a very cheap taxi?
7. Where to find the world's greatest medieval sculpture?
8. Where and when to listen a bell so huge as London's Big Ben?
9. Why better not to say "thank you" to a waiter in a restaurant?
10. How to communicate with non-English speaking natives?
Answers to the above questions and much more you can find in my tips. WELCOME!!!

"Desiderata"
-- written by Max Ehrmann in the 1920s --
Not "Found in Old St. Paul's Church"!
Go placidly amid the noise and the haste,
and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible, without surrender,
be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly;
and listen to others,
even to the dull and the ignorant;
they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons;
they are vexatious to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others,
you may become vain or bitter,
for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.
Keep interested in your own career, however humble;
it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs,
for the world is full of trickery.
But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;
many persons strive for high ideals,
and everywhere life is full of heroism.
Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection.
Neither be cynical about love,
for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment,
it is as perennial as the grass.
Take kindly the counsel of the years,
gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.
But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline,
be gentle with yourself.
You are a child of the universe
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
Therefore be at peace with God,
whatever you conceive Him to be.
And whatever your labors and aspirations,
in the noisy confusion of life,
keep peace in your soul.
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.
Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.
- Pros:Magical atmosphere, people, old architecture, shopping,eating, nightlife
- Cons:Risk of addiction (KA = Krakow addiction, new disease, no cure but strong support group :-)
- In a nutshell:Heart of Poland and Europe
