Sold outside Stara Karczma restaurant: Polish home-made sheep cheese and EU

It's called OSCYPEK (plural: oscypki), what's that? It's regional, home-made (in mountainous regions of south Poland only) sheep cheese - maybe less or more smoked.
Buy it and try - if you like... buy more - it's cheap and I like to eat it (unavailable in food stores).

Notice: there was a battle with European Union (EU) recently to save "oscypek". Hmmm... they wanted people to stop produce it at homes (because of no possibility to control hygiene and so on) and instead of it thet proposed to build a big factory - haha, oscypek from factory, isn't EU crazy ???.

Finally we will be able to produce "oscypek" in the old, traditional way at homes.

Stara Karczma (Old Inn): Regional food in original old (1774) inn

This place is a must see and the local dishes served inside are a must eat :-)). Cheap and delicious food, maybe a little crowded in lunch time in weekends.

Favorite Dish: Kociolek goralski (local soup served in special pot with fire below), roasted small sheep or local dumplings with meat (pierogi).

Osrodek Gorski Kordon: Roasted small pig or sheep

Kordon is a pension, but you can eat here; the food is homemade and delicious;
You can order (call in advance) and buy a small sheep or pig. It's roasted first in the stone oven with spices and then you can do a barbecue outside or roast it again in the kitchen if it's raining outside.
Prices:
- breakfast 1 euro
- lunch 2.5 euro
- supper 1.5 euro.

Favorite Dish: Roasted small pig.

Zajazd Sniezka: Regional food

Lunch - about 3 euros.
There are rooms for rent upstairs.

Favorite Dish: I didn't eat here but they offer a few local dishes from trouts, sheep, pigs if you order them in advance (by phone).

Mini Bar "Krystyna": Try Polish beer

Try delicious Polish beer.
The most popular is TYSKIE beer (TYSKIE is one of the Top 10 beer brands in Europe), the other is ZYWIEC which is produced in nearby city of Zywiec.
Both are delicious, so be careful :-).
You can order in advance a barrel (50 l) - tip rather for groups then individual tourist.

Favorite Dish: TYSKIE beer, one bottle (0.5 l) costs only 3 PLN that is about 0.7 euros.

Mini Bar Krystyna: Local homemade food and delicious beer

Simple, basic, small and a little out of fashion interior design but cheap and delicious food and beer.
If it's closed use the ring by the entrance door.

Favorite Dish: Roasted chicken or homemade "pierogi" (dumplings) and Polish beer Zywiec or Tyskie.
