"No visitors, peace and quiet :-)" Seduva by matcrazy1
Seduva Travel Guide: 18 reviews and 110 photos
I stopped for a little bit in Seduva to see how life looks like in such small, off the beaten path, Lithuanian town. To be honest Seduva looked more like a large village than a town.
Well, I found surprisingly pretty renovated old church there. And a few, secret little things around.
Life in Seduva looked, at first sight, the same as, say, 50 years ago: quite hard, slow, boring and quiet... But isn't the simple life of Seduva the best?
But the new has already come to Seduva as well. This old windmill has been renovated and houses a very popular wayside tavern. There is a new motel with many additional facilities for its guests by the windmill.
- Pros:No visitors :-) Peace and quiet, local lifestyle, parish church
- Cons:Nothing more there!
- In a nutshell:Escape to small Lithuanian town!

Matt, you make me miss Lithuania! Unfortunately, I didn't make it to LT this year :((
Matt, I hope you had a lovely Easter time. Nice little page about this Lithuanian village. Hey, can you believe that I sat in a Zsiguli in Russia? :-)
"WHAT DOES IT MEAN?" - KRISTUS PRISIKELE is resurrection of Jesus. I am lithuanian, and know it :)
This little village seems to need some tender loving care, but one day may be well off enough to attract tourists....you make your trips so interesting, Matt!
You make the most of every place you visit Matt!! A Slovak taxi driver told me that the Lada was the Fiat of Soviet cars. :-)
What a strange place Matt, it seems so remote and so desolate. Did you have a special reason to visit or you just wanted to go there?
You certainly don't often see deserted streets like that often. Still living the basic life too. An interesting history and always lovely to discover lesser known little towns. Lovely photos.
Excellent photos and observations on this relic of the Soviet era! You know, I've always thought those Lada cars must have been a stolen design from Fiat 124s!! I agree with you on the religious tolerance and 'occupation' issues.
