"The most beautiful coastline in Italy" Riomaggiore by matcrazy1
Riomaggiore Travel Guide: 310 reviews and 780 photos
Riomaggiore is the eastern most of the villages of Cinque Terre - the most beautiful coastline of Italy.
.
Working hard and tenaciously on hostile rock relieves, shaped by distant geological processes, man has created throughout the centuries a landscape unique all over the world for its daring and harmony: The Cinque Terre.
.
The villages of the Cinque Terre, with their houses huddled closely either on rock promontories or next to the mouth of brooks, have preserved their original charm because they have been accessible by road for the last fourty years only. From La Spezia the coastal road takes you to Riomaggiore and Manarola.
The sea together with the hills, the vineyards, the ancient fishermen's- villages, the genoese-style-churches, create a charming landscape. Cut into the rock, the Via dell'Amore ( footpath of love) links Riomaggiore and Manarola.

Linguria is one of the most beautiful regions of Italy. I have to plan a long trip to explore all those fantastic places. Nice page, Matt.

Thoroughly enjoyed this page. Gorgeous scenery, as usual you captured it perfectly in pictures.
Wow such a pretty area.. just awesome. The coastline is just gorgeous. I don't think I would like to drive some of those roads though. Amazing how everything is built up the hills like that.
