Tips 1 - 2 of 2 Casablanca Hotels & Accommodations

I didn't sleep in this hotel but I would like (at least one night :-). Hmm... I found a hotel at least 10-125 times cheaper (depends on rooms).
So I wasn't a guest, I was just a visitor there and not only because of urinary bladder alert :-). What did I find inside:
- toilets smelled rather in un-Moroccan style (good haha),
- interior design in Moroccan style looked great,
- hotel staff in local clothes looked at me with smile, rather not like at terrorist, although who knows :-),
- uncovered swimming pool with garden around looked great - unbelievable in the same center of the city,
- Casablanca bar: look at my restaurants tips.
Hyatt Regency Casablanca is located in the center/downtown of Casablanca, in the heart of the commercial district and just 25 minutes from Casablanca Airport.
Unique Qualities: Five restaurants and bars with excellent menu, dancing (nightlife) available.
Unique (for Morocco) are prices: the cheapest double room costed (2002 - from internet) 1550 MAD (Maroccon dirhams) = 150 US$.
Royal Suite for 19550 MAD = 1880 US$ (hmm... about 125 times more than my double room :-).

It was not Hyatt Regency, just cheap hotel but quite comfortable with very basic, small rooms but clean.
What I did NOT find in the hotel:
- insects,
- stinking toilets and/or garbages,
- a swimming pool,
- a bar, pub, restaurant,
- a sauna, OK enough :-).
Recommended for budget travellers for short stay just when you need only place to sleep at night. Warning: the street is a short-parking zone (ticket every two hours needed) - ask hotel staff to buy you a new (cheap) parking ticket every two hour not to to be ticketed (not so cheap) by local police. This hotel does not accept online bookings, I just showed up there.
Unique Qualities: Friendly staff.
Interesting views to Rue Allal ben Abdallah life from balcony (a little noicy street at daytime btw).

Before you travel maybe you should educate yourself about a city instead of making it sound like a dump when it's actually you who's dumb!!! Casablanca has got better places then you d find in europe!!!! with better views and expensive decoration! |
