If you are on Place du Tertre in Montmartre do not allow to paint your portrait by any artist before you agree the price for it. In the other way you may be asked to pay even 100 $ (credit cards not accepted) hehehe.

. Hmm... usually it's necessary to wait looong (more then 1 hour) to enter Eiffel Tower. And then on the second level additional waiting (I was waiting about 40 min.) to enter the lift to the top. Imagine: number of visitors in 2001 - 6,103,987 (= approx. 16,723 each day) . But believe me it's worth of such inconveniences. . MORE: www.tour-eiffel.com .

At Least Do This: Better come at 8.30am-9.00am - much less people. .
Alternative: Go to the top of Montparnasse building or go to La Défense and get the lift to the top of La Grande Arche de La Défense - but it's not the same. .

. Parisian bars/pubs are addictive: full of nice people from all over the world, delicious beer, wine, spirits, drinks + music, music, music etc. So better not to drink too fast not to loose great party. .

At Least Do This: Get a taxi to your hotel. Drink as much mineral water (no gas) as you can before sleeping. Sleep looooong not to have hangover next/the same day :-).
Alternative: If you have hangover drink fast 1 beer :-). Try soft drinks.

. Driving in Paris is a little bit crazy, parking a car surely is crazy. I noticed that most cars in Paris are a little damaged (is it correct word?) just after small mini-crash during parking and almost all have damaged external mirrors hehe. .

I always look for free or cheap place to park a car and Paris is in my top worse 5 cities in Europe in this matter (hmm... the worst for me was Florence - but it's the best city in Italy).

At Least Do This: 1. Stay at one place and look for a car leaving a place - be first to take the place - the competition is big :-) 2. Drive around (recommended up to 1 hour), be patient 3. Park in covered/underground or other paid parkings - be ready to pay more then for your accommodation :-) 3. Park your car in a forbidden place like most do (rather not in the middle of crossword) and prepare Euros - look at my picture!
Alternative: Use subway and/or your legs/feet.
