"From Vancouver to Calgary, through the Rockies" Rocky Mountains by bumpychick

This was our itinerary for a two week trip from Vancouver to Calgary. It took a lot of planning to find the accomodation, and to decide how long to stay in each location. Ifelt it worked out really well and the amount of time we spent in each location was just about right. If you need to save time, miss out travelling down to Radium Hot Springs.

Day 1 - Stanley Park and Aquarium. Stay 3 nights at The Silvia hotel, English Bay.

Day 2 - Vancouver City Tour.

Day 3 - Grouse Mountain and Capilano Suspension Bridge.

Day 4 - Vancouver to Ashcroft via 'Hell's Gate'. Stay at The Blue Sage B&B, Ashcroft.

Day 5 - Ashcroft to Clearwater. Visit Wells Gray Provincial Park. Stay at Trophy Mountain Buffalo Lodge.

Day 6 - Clearwater to Jasper. Stay 2 nights at Park Place, Jasper.

Day 7 - Visit Maligne Canyon and Lake, Mount Edith Cavell, and Athabasca Falls.

Day 8 - Jasper to Saskatchewan Crossing. Ice walk on the Columbia Icefield. Stay at The Crossing Resort.

Day 9 - Saskatchewan Crossing to Lake Louise. Visit Louise and Moraine Lakes. Peyto lake. Stay at Deer Lodge, Lake Louise.

Day 10 - Lake Louise to Radium Hot Springs. Visit Takakkaw Falls, Natural Bridge, Emerald Lake and the hot springs. Stay at Radium Springs B&B.

Day 11 - Radium to Banff. Visit Sinclair Canyon, The Paint Pots. Stay 2 nights at at Tarry a While B&B, Banff.

Day 12 - Town tour, Visit Lake Minnewanka.

Day 13 - Banff to Calgary. Visit Calgary Heritage Park. Stay 2 nights at Twin Gables B&B.

Day 14 - City Tour.
