We spent quite a lot of our time in Australia touring in the Northern territory. Coming from the UK we were amazed by the fact that you could look out of the coach window at the passing scenery, go to sleep for an hour, and when you woke up the scenery was identical. Our coach driver would say things like 'The scenery changes dramatically here'. It all looked 'red' to me! We were very impressed with the termite mounds however. They are huge!

Looks like we enjoyed Alice Springs more than you did. Too bad, really....it was, at least for us, a very friendly destination. Uluru park was amazing, and I have yet to finish my VT page. someday. :)
