The main High Street in Margate has undergone a few changes recently, due to the fact that a large shopping centre (Westwood Cross) has been built out of town. Some of the bigger retailers have closed their Margate branches, but there are still quite a few shops to browse in, and now we have Westwood Cross too!
What to buy: The typical holiday souveniers might include rock, postcards and cuddly toys. Tacky, and available in some of the seafront shops!
