Kuching is the capital of the Malaysian State of Sarawak. Kuching is the most populous city in the state of Sarawak and the fourth largest city in Malaysia. Kuching means 'Cat' and this has become the theme of the city; cat statues and cat themed souvenirs are abundant. The picture shows the cat statue outside the gates of China Town. (New whiskers needed?).
Kuching was established by Sir James Brooke, the first White Rajah of Sarawak.
