Home, new home.

HK, all the way.

Fisherman on the harbour
Before I moved here, I had only been to HK once. I was 12. I knew nothing about the place except for its reputation as a shopper's haven (which suited me fine since all i really cared about then were Giordano socks with the frogs on them and a pair of Doc Martens). You can just imagine what a great surprise it was for me to actually move here and fit in naturally within days. I can't imagine not actually living here before. HK is the best and the worst. Like any place, it's what you make of it. I am proud to call it my new home.

Causeway Bay

The search for a place to stay was fast and simple. From the time i saw the area, i was sold on the idea of living in Causeway. It was the first place i visited in HK island. Busy, hectic, crazy. so very me. East meets west. I especially liked the ferry ride everyday to work (in Kowloon). It can be a b*tch if you leave something behind but it's the price you pay to live in the center of everything. Convenience and shopping at your doorstep. From Causeway you can get to anywhere in HK easily. If you choose to stay there the whole weekend, that works too. Though, be forewarned, it's not the place for people who afraid of people.

Kowloon

I work in Hunghom. Not exactly the CBD but very scenic and peaceful. The ride to work every morning gives me a chance to clear my mind and mentally prepare myself for the day ahead. Hong Kong has an amazing harbour. On the way to Kowloon, i see fishermen, yachts and junk boats of all kinds. Each ride is different. The lights differ, just like the mood. mornings bring a sense of suspense, the hint of sunlight hiding behind the clouds... teasing... revealing oh-so- slightly what's to come. In the afternoon the water shines... reminding you of lazy summers spent wrecklessly. The evenings are exciting. you never know what's going to happen in HK.

Pros:"It has everything you want to make your life complete."
Cons:"When the buzz wears off, it can also be the loneliest place on earth."
In A Nutshell:"It is the best. It is the worst. But you'll never know, unless you come."
