I arrived to find my hotel car didn't come for me. So off to the transport service i went to get a ride, quite angry at the hotel. inefficient!! this was when the airport transport offered me a tour. it was around 800-1000 baht i think for my ride to the hotel that day, my ride back to the airport on the day of my departure PLUS my own tour of Bangkok. Not bad. The next day a car came with my own Tour Guide, Nancy. She was nice. At first she gave me the token rip-off tour which took me to places which cost that i didn't really like but when i insisted we do what i like, she gave in.
1. authentic thai massage --about 2 hours long. she took me to the heart of the city, a good, clean place. the masseuse gave me a good beating. around 1500 baht, expensive for massage in bangkok since you can get one for 300 baht but this one was really good (and wholesome, mind you..hehe).
2. food shopping walking around...i don't know where this was...
3. thai dancing and ladyboy show --this was really cool. the food served sucked but the show was great.
4. all the temples
i guess my tip is more on the befriending your tour guide and getting your own tour. it really helps. it's like having a friend take you around her country, which is really quite nice :)
