Guess which person is me?
I’m a novice traveler but I plan to change that. My first experience traveling was at the young age of 10 and I traveled for a month with a friend and her family to Austria, Switzerland, Italy and Hungary. Her mother was from Austria and her father was from Italy. So I was lucky enough to stay with locals and visit some fun places. I don’t remember as much as I’d like to from that trip, but it definitely gave me the travel bug. Since then I’ve only been on a few trips with my husband. We’ve been to Ensenada Mexico a few times (and can give some advice regarding it), Zihuatanejo and Ixtapa Mexico (loved it and plan to go again ASAP), and Maui two times (loved it). I’ve spent every summer of my life on Catalina Island, off the coast of Los Angeles and was a tour guide for the Casino. So I can give plenty of advice on that destination.

I enjoy fishing, swimming, snorkeling, dancing, eating and drinking. So I usually know a lot about those activities at any of the places I visit and I would appreciate any advice on them.

Our next trip is to Italy and Czech Republic. We plan to stay outside of Volterra in a villa for a week (my best friend is getting married there) and take day trips to Florence, San Gimignano, and Siena. Then we are off to Elba Island where we will stay in Portoferraio for a couple days. Then we take a train to Rome for a few days. Then we take an overnight train to Prague and stay for 2 days. My husband has never been out of the U.S. (other than Mexico), so I am extremely excited for him. He doesn’t love traveling as much as I do, so I hope he gets the bug after this trip.

I joined this site to get information for our European vacation. So any help would be greatly appreciated. When I return, I hope I can give as much helpful advice as I have received.
