Montevideo, come and relax!

Montevideo

Beach at Montevideo
I arrived to Montevideo with almost no knowledge of this country other than it is just over 3 hours by ferry from Buenos Aries and the name of a hostel that I had found on internet the night before. I purchased a ticket at the port for Buquebus (ferry) and was on my way leaving the dock at 08:20 am. Arrived in Montevideo, passed through customs hassle free and found out that there was a free shuttle to the downtown core. Asked a few directions, found the "Redhostel" dropped my gear and was off exploring the city by around 1:00. Hopped in a cab to the beach. I found it so easy to relax in Montevideo. I also enjoyed walking around the city.

Montevideo is urban exploration at it's best. Instead of a waterfall around the corner, there is a small fresh vegetable store that you wish you had around the corner at home. Or some architecture that catches your eye and holds it. Always something new and different from home.

My pages reflect wandering around the city with no particular goal. Just Urban exploration in an interesting city.
Shoreline in Montevideo

Shoreline

If I lived in Uruguay, I think I right now I would be riding my bike along the ocean deciding on the place to stop and enjoy mate!

Fishing

I might have my fishing rod with me as well!

Buquebus is the best way to come to MVD! And the beaches along the Ronda ... Great town to simply get lost in.
