The Cambodia Less Traveled I lived for eight years in Cambodia and traveled EVERYWHERE in the country. I can answer your questions about out-of-the-way places that are simple out-of-this-world.
If you go to Cambodia, don't just see Angkor or stay in Phnom Penh. Go to Battambang, Pailin, Preah Vihear, Kampot, Veal Veng, Samlot, Mondulkiri. There are always cheap guesthouses and good food, so don't worry about being caught out. And don't worry about landmines as long as you stay on well-used paths. |
Uganda I will be moving to Uganda in September, and would welcome any information about living conditions there, especially in the rural districts. I will be 100 km west of Kampala in Mpigi.
I would also welcome information about traveling to neighboring countries like Rwanda, Burundi, Ethiopia, and even Sudan. |
