Sindang Reret: Even more good food

I have to be frank...I don't eat meat...therefore, there's no way I would this dish known as Buntut Bakar (grilled ox tail). However, my little brother whose a big fan of ox tail said its very tasty. This one is grilled and served with spicy sauce. The portion was quite big...I believe it's enough for two people.

Sindang Reret: More good food

Favorite Dish: Gurame fish is always something I look forward to whenever visiting Indonesia. I was first introduced to this fish at Kg. Daun...also in Bandung during my first trip there. Never come across this fish in Malaysia, maybe it has a different name here...will check that soon. Anyway, my first gurame fish was grilled, the second one I had it in Bali...it was a big deep fried gurame served with sambal (chili grinded with other ingredients) and the third was at Sindang Reret...it was fried gurame with green chilies. All were very tasty.

Favorite Dish: Nasi Timbel is one of the many Sundanese food. It's a combination of steamed rice being fold and rolled in a banana leaf, fried tempe, fried bean curd, fresh vegetables (usually cucumber, tomatoes and salad), salted fish and a fried or roasted chicken (sometimes there's also grilled or fried meat available). All these will also be served with a 'sambal' (chili grinded together with other ingredients).

Sindang Reret: Good food here

The food I had were delicious. I had Nasi Timbel, Gurame Cili Hijau (fried gurame fish with green chili) with es jeruk (orange juice). Some other dishes orded by my brother was Buntut Bakar (grilled ox tail) which he said was very tasty.

Here you can choose to dine at the usual table and chairs or you can opt to dine the traditional way...seating on a 'pangkin' (a nice wooden plank with a low table).

Sindang Reret is said to be one of the famous Sundanese restaurant in Bandung. The one I went to was at Jl. Surapati (next to Simpang Raya - a Padang food restaurant). The restaurant interior was nice...they used mainly wooden furniture there. There're also a small garden in the restaurant with a little pond. The place is clean, their staffs were very friendly and helpful.

I believe it's a special place and I would definitely recommend to others as well.

Toni Jacks: Tasty fries

It's a fast food restaurant just like McDonald's, Burger King and etc. Was actually looking for a McDonald's...but couldn't find any golden arch around that particular area...so opted for this one instead. Surprisingly, I like it. Not bad at all. I like the chicken burger and the fries. This one is located at the same row as Bandung Indah Plaza (BIP)...other places I'm not so sure.

Pasar Baru Bandung Food Court: Many types of food here...n cheap

It's just a typical food court...except everything here is served almost freshly cooked. When they send food to you...their still hot. Most importantly...the place is clean, service is fast n prices very cheap.

To those spending time at Pasar Baru Bandung...you might consider having lunch here n then continue shopping.

Favorite Dish: My favorite food was its Nasi Timbel...a sundanese food. Drinks I love was es jeruk...it's Indonesian style of orange juice...really tasty.

Restoran Makanan Sederhana: Nasi Padang anyone...

They'll put like 10-12 different dishes on your table together with a bowl of rice. You eat whatever you want...n will only be charged for the dish that you've had only.
