  Rule # 1: always check travel conditions and luggage rules BEFORE booking a flight;
  Rule # 2: always look at the map BEFORE posting a tip on VT. You have posted yours in the travelguide of a tiny Bavarian village that has no airport.

  That's terrible. That $500 would have gotten you a LOT of great currywurst in Germany. If something like that ever happens again, you should call your credit card company right away -- and take the necessary steps to dispute the ridiculous charge.
