Thailand is located in the south eastern region of the continent of Asia (in the heart of Southeast Asia). Bangkok is the capital city and centre of political, commercial, industrial and cultural activities.Thailand have five distinct geographical regions, divided up into 76 provinces: Central Region mainly flat, the North with mountains (the highest: Doi Inthanon 2565 m), the Northeast, the East, the South hilly and mountainous, the most popular for tourists.
