Pelion Mountain

Visit Mt.Pelion. Throughout the passage of the Pelio has been a very attractive place for visitors. The rich mythology that accompanies it, its cultural tradition, its architectural character and its incomparable natural beauty are elements that fascinate travellers. Whether a mere tourist, merchant or artist, visitors to Pelion yield to its enchantment: the people here, from generation to generation, have respected the environment and as builders they have shown sensitivity and established their settlements taking such great care to achieve beauty: the villages of Pelion are beautiful because the tradition of the craftsmen who handed down a finished, integral style of dwelling is apparent, they are beautiful because its setllements are in proportion to the landscape, they are beautiful because the craftsmen had a natural understanding of light. On the other hand this natural environment won't let anyone down. The Aegean full of boats that cleave the sea in every direction - a privillige of the sea since of Pelion where you encounter the last gardens of Eden. The calm Pagasitic Gulf on the western side of the mountain full of picturesque fishing villages teeming with olive trees, offers unique moments of peace and quiet. Pelion itself, with its constantly changing landscape, sometimes wild, sometimes tranquil, its vegetation and its cobbled paths that criss-cross it, is a unique place. This very place that has been mentioned by Homer and many other poets up until the present day for its charm, is at any moment ready to give birth to a fairy tale when you travel from one end of it to the other.
