  • Restaurant Name: Roti Canai

Backpakcers ( and even the richies ) should be happy to know that the most popular breakfast snack costs only 60 - 80 sen in most places in Malaysia, city or village.

The famous ROTI CANAI could be an Indian idea, but now no one knows whether it's Arabic, Malay or Malaysian invention.

But try it, less than US 0.50 for ROTI CANAI plus your coffee ( or chocolate ). What a way to survive !@

If you don't mind sticking to this diet, you could survive a month in Malaysia with only RM 50 !

Favorite Dish: Good ones like Nasi Kandar shops ( Indian Muslims ) give you this in comfort and bright cheerful surroundings.

In the smaller towns and kampungs, you could be sitting beside the highway and taking in much dust when you try to enjoy your ROI CANAI !

But survive you will, fear not ...........
