The Royal Palace, Kuala Kangsar

Palace
This is the magnificent palace at Bukit Chandan, Kuala Kangsar.
The Malay College

Elite School

Once upon a time, the School for Royalty. Now it's open to Malays who do well in the school exams.

Malay College, the name speaks for itself. But they do learn much English here ! English School for Malays would be a appropriate name.

The First One

This is supposedly the first rubber tree even grown in Malaysia - more than 100 years ago, still looking strong.

KK does have some nice buildings. Used to visit the "casinos" in the royal compound. Great beef balls noodles too. The river does add character to this royal town. Cheers, SL
