Islamabad is the capital of Pakistan. It is Pakistan's first planned city which was built in 1960s to shift the Capital of Pakistan from Karachi. It offers a healthy climate, pollution free atmosphere, plenty of water and lush green area. It is a modern and carefully planned city with wide tree-lined streets, large houses elegant public buildings and well-organised markets & shopping centres. The city is divided into eight basic zones 1- Administrative, 2- Diplomatic enclave, 3- Residential areas, 4- Educational sectors, 5- Industrial sectors. 6- Commercial areas, 7- Rural and 8- Green areas. Each sector has its own shopping area and public park.

| | Tourists going to the northern areas of Pakistan or Murree must PASS THROUGH Islamabad. I will suggest them to stay here and see this beautiful and well planned city.
Blue Area is the central shopping district & sky line of Islamabad. At the end of Blue Area starts Constitution Avenue where you can see President house, Parliment House, Prime Minister Secreteriate & Supreme Court Building. Other attractions are: Shah Faisal Mosque, Daman-e-Koh, Shakar PaRian, Rawal Dam/Lake, Loke Virsa Museum and many more.... |
