My partner's from Butterworth, Penang, so that's why am fortunate enough to travel to Penang pretty often. If experiencing local culture or visiting temples is your kind of thing, then Penang's the place to be. If not, sample the great local hawker fare here, with Gurney Drive as the most popular eating place.
Penang has it's own unique local culture, it feels kinda different compared to the rest of Malaysia. Also, it serves as a transit point between Thailand and Singapore. |
