Hotel Einig: Cheap, Cheerful and Central Hotel Einig Review

Although unprepossessing from the outside this proved to be an ideal little pension/hotel for my couple of nights stay. The hotel, situated on a main, but quiet, street a couple of minutes walk from the back of the central railway station was very easy to find. Reception was friendly and helpful and whilst my single ensuite room was quite small it was spotlessly clean and had a couple of little homely touches.

The freebie WiFi worked perfectly and my only niggle was that they weren't serving breakfast during my stay. They did give me a 4 euro per night discount to make up for it and there are several cheap little cafes in the area, or at the station, and so that wasn't a major problem.

Unique Qualities: The best thing about the Einig is its location, a couple of minutes from the Dom and the Hauptbahnhof, less than five minutes into the city centre and only a couple of minutes from the river. The street itself is lively during the day but quiet and peaceful later in the evening.

It's almost exactly the same location as the Marriot but about a quarter of the price!
