The Masai Mara has to be one of the most magical places on the planet.

Unforgettable.

The classical African savannah is home to an abundance of wildlife as well as the facinating Masai tribespeople. The Big 5 can be found here (buffalo, lion, elephant, rhino, leopard) and a trip can include a visit to a Masai village which should not be missed.

This was the first greeting we got on arrival, literally just as we entered the park. Now given that one of my very favourite wild animals are Giraffes you can imagine my excitment! We had a crap camera which doesn't do any of the photos justice but this fellow was just delightful and prompted our driver to declare that in all his years, he'd never seen a giraffe just sitting in the grass like this.
