Fairytale city

astronomical clock
Praha ( in czech language) is the Czech capital, with about 1,2 million inhabitants (10 million in Czech rep.)
It is centrally located in Czech republic between 180 - 400 m above sea level.

Prague looks great and the best way to explore this city is to get lost in it.
Just look around at the great monuments, the Prague Castle with the Golden Lane and the St Vitus Cathedral, the façades in different colors and styles along the Vltava ( or Moldau ), the 1001 peaks all around, the numerous cathedrals, basilicas, churches, synagogues, the national theatre, the lovely little alleys and so much more.
For instance due to the calendar & lack of time we didn't go to an ice hockey or football game of Sparta or Slavia Prague, a classical music concert or a black light theatre spectacle only to name a few entertainment possibilities.

Due to luggage theft in the car we lost a lot of time, so basically all tips represent almost all we did in 2,5 days and about 80% of all must see / must do's of Prague. Therefore I sincerely invite you to check out more info on VT about other main points of interest but hope you'll enjoy some of my tips too.
Enjoy !

On our way back to Belgium we stopped by Plzen --> also added on my VT pages...

Beautiful night vision of the Charles Bridge. That's what we call "Crossing the Vltava in style". Well done page!

Great insights; like the emphasis on the wonderful architecture; so sorry about the loss of luggage, but thanks for the warning. Some excellent photographs. Enjoyable, educational, interesting tour of Prague.
